Accra is set to come alive once again as the 2026 All Star Festival prepares to deliver another exciting blend of football, entertainment and community celebration.
The upcoming edition will mark the fifth staging of the festival since its debut in 2022, with the event continuing to grow into one of Africa’s biggest off-season football events.
What began as a football showcase has now evolved into a complete entertainment and lifestyle experience that connects fans, players, brands and families under one roof.
Over the years, the festival has travelled across the country in an effort to spread its impact and connect with football communities nationwide.
The second edition was held in Dormaa in the Bono Region in 2023 before Tamale hosted the event in 2024. After returning to Accra last year, organisers, The Business Africa Consulting Group Limited (The BAC Group) have once again chosen the capital as host for the 2026 edition.

Unlike previous editions which were usually held in June, this year’s festival will take place in July due to the FIFA World Cup calendar. The adjustment is expected to allow several Ghanaian stars playing around the globe enough time to complete their commitments at the Mundial before joining the festivities in Accra.
The All Star Festival has become recognised as the official off-season football event in Africa, attracting Ghanaian football stars from around the globe while creating a unique atmosphere where football meets culture and social interaction.
What to Expect
This year’s festival is expected to draw more than 10,000 spectators to the University of Ghana Stadium, with several hundreds of thousands also anticipated to follow activities through digital platforms worldwide.
The strong online presence is expected to extend the festival’s reach far beyond the stadium, giving fans across different continents access to the experience.
At the heart of the festival remains football itself. The much-anticipated All Star Game featuring players representing the Northern and Southern sectors of Ghana is expected to headline activities on the pitch.
The fixture has become one of the defining attractions of the event, bringing together elite football talents for an entertaining showdown in front of passionate supporters.
Over the years, Black Stars players such as Andre Ayew, Jordan Ayew, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, Thomas Partey, Emmanuel Boateng, etc, have all graced the ASF.

International football icons are also expected to be part of the celebration, adding more glamour and global appeal to the occasion. The presence of stars from different parts of the football world continues to strengthen the festival’s reputation as a major gathering for Ghanaian players during the off-season.
Beyond football, the event promises a lively entertainment atmosphere filled with musicians, media personalities, influencers and business leaders.
Organisers are aiming to create a star-studded environment that appeals not only to sports fans but also to followers of music, digital culture and entertainment.
The business aspect of the festival is also expected to play a major role this year through a massive vendor convocation that will give local businesses and brands the opportunity to interact with the thousands expected at the venue. Food vendors, merchandise sellers and corporate exhibitors are all expected to contribute to the vibrant atmosphere around the stadium.
Families will also have a place at the centre of the event. Special play areas and games for children are expected to ensure that younger fans enjoy the experience, while family-oriented activities for parents and guardians will help create a complete festival environment beyond the football action.

University football matchups are equally expected to add energy and youthful excitement to the programme, offering young players a platform to showcase their talent in front of a wider audience.
As anticipation builds toward the 2026 edition in Legon, the All Star Festival continues to establish itself as more than just a football gathering. It has become a celebration of sport, entertainment, culture and community, bringing people together through a shared passion for the game.
