In a strategic move to boost consumer confidence and drive mainstream adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) in Ghana, Atlantic Meridian EV (AMEV) has officially unveiled popular media personality Giovani Caleb as its new brand ambassador.
The partnership, announced today, positions the trusted broadcaster at the forefront of AMEV’s campaign to transform Ghana’s transport sector through sustainable, accessible, and reliable electric mobility solutions.
Atlantic Meridian EV describes itself as Ghana’s pioneering end-to-end EV 360° ecosystem. Unlike traditional dealerships that focus primarily on vehicle sales, AMEV offers a comprehensive suite of services designed to eliminate common barriers to EV ownership in the Ghanaian context.
These include curated EV sales with flexible financing options suited to local roads and budgets, an expanding network of charging stations, and full after-sales support encompassing maintenance, servicing, warranties, and genuine parts.
Central to the company’s offering is the AMEV Cloud mobile app, available on Google Play and the App Store. The app allows users to locate nearby chargers, monitor charging sessions in real-time, make seamless payments, and manage their electric mobility experience conveniently from their smartphones.
Mr. Amese Franklin, Chief Marketing & Sales Officer at Atlantic Meridian EV, highlighted the rationale behind selecting Giovani Caleb.
“Giovani reaches the exact audiences we need, and he does it with ‘electrifying’ authenticity. This isn’t about being a celebrity but about his credibility. He helps us demystify the technology, showcase our full ecosystem from showroom to charger to workshop, and prove that going electric is easier and smarter than people assume”

For Caleb, the role represents more than a commercial partnership, it aligns with a personal conviction about Ghana’s future.
“Ghana doesn’t have to wait for the future of driving. It’s already here, and it’s electric. AMEV hasn’t just put cars on the road; they’ve built the chargers, the app, and the service to stand behind every customer. I’m not lending my name to a brand. I’m actually backing a movement, because cleaner, smarter, more affordable mobility is something every Ghanaian deserves”

Giovanni Caleb
Caleb Elolo Adjomah, popularly known as Giovani Caleb, was born on May 27, 1988. The 37-year-old media powerhouse hails from Avenorpeme in Ghana’s Volta Region. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Linguistics from the University of Ghana, where he began his broadcasting journey in 2008 at Radio Univers.
His career trajectory includes key roles at YFM (where he rose to Programs Manager), Live FM, Starr FM (hosting Starr Drive), and currently at Media General’s TV3 Network. At TV3, he hosts popular programs such as 3FM Drive (alongside Berla Mundi) and Showbiz360, as well as the widely followed dating show Date Rush.

Caleb is also a sought-after Master of Ceremonies, having hosted major events including the Ghana Club 100 Awards, MTN Hitmaker, AFRIMA Music Village, Ghana Business Awards, and Vodafone Ghana Music Awards red carpet shows.
Over the years, he has earned multiple accolades, including Best Radio Program of the Year at the 2019 RTP Awards for The Giovani’s Prank Game (a popular segment on 3FM Drive) and various recognitions as Radio/TV Personality and MC of the Year. His marriage to Belinda Boadu and family life further cement his image as a relatable, family-oriented figure with broad appeal across generations.
This ambassadorship builds on Caleb’s previous brand partnerships with entities like Malta Guinness, Jumia, Hyundai Ghana, and Infinix, where his influence has consistently driven engagement and trust.
The timing of the appointment is significant. Ghana, like many African nations, faces pressing challenges with fuel dependency, urban air pollution, and the need for sustainable transport solutions. Electric mobility is increasingly viewed as a viable pathway to reduce imported fuel costs, lower carbon emissions, and modernize the country’s vehicle fleet.
However, adoption has been hampered by concerns over charging infrastructure, vehicle range, maintenance, and overall reliability.
AMEV’s integrated model directly tackles these issues. The company offers premium EVs including models from BYD and others, supported by physical showrooms (such as at 38 Nikoi Street in Accra) and a commitment to localized service networks.

Industry observers believe Caleb’s involvement could play a pivotal role in shifting public perception. As a familiar face in Ghanaian households through radio, television, and social media, his endorsement provides the social proof needed to move EVs from niche interest to mainstream consideration particularly among middle-class professionals, young families, and fleet operators.
“EVs in Ghana don’t have a product problem. They have a trust problem,” the announcement noted. By leveraging Caleb’s warmth, reach, and credibility, AMEV aims to convert curiosity into actual ownership.
As Ghana edges closer to embracing greener transport options, this partnership signals growing momentum in the country’s electric mobility space. With supportive government policies on sustainable energy and private sector innovation like AMEV’s, the road ahead looks increasingly electric.
