An unidentified woman has withdrawn a civil lawsuit she filed against Snoop Dogg in which she accused the American rapper of sexual assault and battery after attending one of his concerts in 2013, according to court documents.

The lawsuit was pulled nearly two months after it was filed in the Central District of California. The voluntary dismissal also removed charges against all other parties named in the suit, including Snoop Dogg’s business entity.

“It is not surprising that the plaintiff dismissed her complaint against the defendants. Her complaint was full of false allegations and deficiencies,” a representative for Snoop Dogg said in a statement.

Meanwhile, Matt Finkelberg, a lawyer for Jane Doe, did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Details of Lawsuit

The unidentified woman filed a civil lawsuit against American rapper Snoop Dogg, accusing him of sexual assault and battery. According to her, the incident happened in 2013 after she attended one of the musician’s concerts.

The woman who was identified as Jane Doe and described as a dancer, model, host, and actress, claimed she had worked with Snoop Dogg. The musician, however, noted that the woman never worked for him. Snoop Dogg’s spokesperson also confirmed that the woman in question never worked with him.

In the lawsuit, she stated Dogg entered a bathroom she was using, forced her to perform oral sex, and masturbated in front of her.

Snoop Dogg, has acquired Death Row Records, the label that launched his career. Snoop Dogg in a statement noted that the move was an
US rapper and entrepreneur, Snoop Dogg

Woman felt pressured by Snoop Dogg’s position of power

At the time of the incident, the woman was reportedly worried about her job security and career if she displeased the rapper. The complaint said, “Plaintiff felt pressured by defendant Snoop Dogg due to his dominance, and his position of power over her, including his ability to hire and fire her and ensure that she would never be hired in his industry again”.

Her attorney, Matt Finkelberg, in a statement disclosed that she “later refused to be silenced and intimidated any longer”.

“Our client hopes to inspire other victims of sexual harassment, assault, and battery to understand that they have rights, will be protected, and although they are victims, they will not have to be silenced forever,” Matt Finkelberg said.

On the other hand, Dogg’s spokesperson reportedly denied all the allegations, terming the suit as “simply meritless,” and added that the rapper “never had any sexual encounter” with the woman.

“They appear to be part of a self-enrichment shakedown scheme to extort Snoop Dogg right before he performs during this Sunday’s Super Bowl halftime show,” the spokesperson was quoted as saying by several media reports.

The spokesperson further mentioned that a similar allegation was made against the musician in December 2021, by a woman through the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing.

Meanwhile, Dogg took a ‘dig’ at the whole issue by posting a note on Instagram that read, “Gold digger season is here be careful… keep your guards up. And. Keep your circle small”.
