Arsenal have reached an agreement with Club Brugge to sign Greece winger Christos Tzolis in a deal worth a reported £34 million fee.
The transfer, once completed, will become the highest-value outgoing deal in the history of the Belgian Pro League, underlining the rapid rise of the Greek international following an outstanding campaign in Belgium.
The 24-year-old is now expected to complete the remaining formalities of the move before officially becoming an Arsenal player, with personal terms not believed to be an issue.

Reports indicate that Tzolis made Arsenal his preferred destination as soon as he became aware of the North London club’s interest, turning his focus solely towards securing a move to the Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal’s pursuit of the winger comes after the departure of Leandro Trossard, who recently completed a £17 million transfer to Turkish side Besiktas, creating space in Mikel Arteta’s attacking options ahead of the new season.
It is reported that Arsenal’s move for Tzolis is separate from their continued interest in Aston Villa forward Morgan Rogers, suggesting the Gunners remain active in strengthening multiple areas of their attack.
The impending arrival of Tzolis signals Arsenal’s determination to add greater creativity, pace and goals to their frontline as they prepare for to defend the Premier League title and make another strong case in Europe as they have done in the past two season.
Outstanding Season Earns Arsenal Move
Tzolis heads to North London after enjoying the most productive season of his career with Club Brugge. The winger scored 17 league goals and provided an outstanding 23 assists in just 36 Belgian Pro League appearances during the 2025-26 season, establishing himself as one of Europe’s most effective attacking players.
His performances helped Club Brugge challenge for major honours while attracting interest from several clubs across Europe. However, Arsenal moved swiftly to reach agreement on personal terms before striking an agreement with Brugge, with the player reportedly making it clear that he wanted the move to the Premier League.

The transfer also marks a return to English football for Tzolis. The Greek winger previously joined Norwich City from PAOK in the summer of 2021 but struggled to establish himself in the Premier League. Limited opportunities and loan spells at FC Twente and Fortuna Düsseldorf prevented him from showcasing his full potential before eventually rebuilding his career in Germany.
Club Brugge signed Tzolis permanently from Fortuna Düsseldorf in 2024 after an impressive campaign in the Bundesliga. His development accelerated in Belgium, where his ability to beat defenders, create chances and finish clinically made him one of the standout performers in the league.
Comfortable playing on either wing but most dangerous cutting inside from the left onto his stronger right foot, Tzolis combines direct dribbling with intelligent movement and an eye for goal. His creativity is reflected not only in his assist numbers but also in his consistent chance creation and effectiveness in transition.
Arsenal Continue Summer Squad Rebuild
The move represents another important step in Arsenal’s summer recruitment strategy as Arteta looks to build a squad capable of sustaining a Premier League title challenge while competing strongly in the UEFA Champions League.
Replacing Trossard’s attacking output became an important priority following the Belgian international’s departure, and Tzolis arrives with an impressive record of both scoring and creating goals.
Although Arsenal remain interested in strengthening other attacking positions, including their pursuit of Morgan Rogers, the signing of Tzolis is understood to have been negotiated independently and does not affect plans for further additions.
The reported £34 million fee also reflects Arsenal’s confidence in the player’s long-term potential. At 24, Tzolis is entering the prime years of his career and offers both immediate quality and room for further development under Arteta’s guidance.

The Greek international has also become an increasingly important figure for his national team, earning praise for his maturity and attacking consistency after overcoming the difficult early stages of his career in England.
For Arsenal, the transfer is another statement of intent as they continue reshaping their squad with players capable of fitting Arteta’s high-intensity, possession-based system. Tzolis’ pace, versatility and productivity make him a natural addition to a forward line that will be expected to compete on multiple fronts.
With an agreement now in place between Arsenal and Club Brugge, attention turns to the completion of the remaining formalities. Once the medical and contractual procedures are finalised, Tzolis is expected to become Arsenal’s latest summer signing, completing a remarkable journey back to the Premier League after reviving his career on the continent.
