Davido has released a new single titled ‘Be There Still’.
The 5-time Grammy-nominated singer earlier shared the news in a post on his social media account on February 26, 2025.
The single, released on March 14, 2025, features uptempo Amapiano log drum fusion and a blend of pidgin and English. The song sees Davido restate his status as a superstar who will remain at the summit of the game.
The production, handled by Marvey Muzique and DJ Maphorisa, creates a smooth yet groovy backdrop that complements Davido’s reflective lyrics.
The song’s structure is intentionally repetitive, allowing the message to sink in. The use of background chants and layered instrumentation gives it a hypnotic, almost trance-like effect, perfect for both introspection and club play.
“Be There Still” is not just another song in Davido’s catalogue; it is a statement. It reflects his evolution as an artist and as a man who has seen both the highs and lows of fame.
The single comes ahead of Davido’s highly anticipated fifth album ‘Five’ which is scheduled for release on April 18.

2025 has already gotten off to a busy start for Davido who secured his fifth Grammy nomination at the 67th Grammys where he got the nod for the Best African Song Performance for his part on Chris Brown’s ‘Sensational’.
Davido was also recently nominated in 5 categories, including the Artist of the Year at the upcoming 17th Headies, which extends his record as one of the most decorated artists in the awards history.
Ahead of the album release, Davido has released two singles ‘Awuke’ featuring Jamaican Dancehall sensation YG Marley and ‘Funds’ featuring Chike and OdomoduBlvck.
In the social media post announcing his next album, the hitmaker described it as one straight from the heart.
‘5ive’ is also expected to feature a collaboration with Nigerian superstar Omah Lay, who, in an interview, revealed that the song is a perfect partnership.
Adekunle Gold also recently teased a possible guest appearance on the album, which Davido and his fans will expect to follow in the footsteps of his record-breaking fourth album ‘Timeless’.
Daniel Regha Rates Davido’s New Song

Daniel Regha, a social media critic known for inserting himself into people’s lives, dropped another bombshell concerning Davido’s new song.
Regha often reviews songs of popular Nigerian artists and shares his take on them.
Reviewing the song, Daniel Regha went on X to give kudos to the singer for making an effort on his new release. He described it as not being as weak as others, but, still scored it a 4 out of 10.
“Davido’s new song ‘Be There Still’ is definitely better than his last two releases; The lyrics are not as weak as the other songs, but it’s also not up to bar. Beats-wise, the song has a catchy & danceable sound, which might make it trendy, especially on social media platforms, but it gets tiring after a few listens.
“That said, the album doesn’t seem to have a central theme so far, which can pose a problem. The song is a 4/10 tho. No offense.”

“Daniel Regha’s analysis isn’t the ultimate measure of good lyrics. Take your time, listen, and judge for yourself—or are you that dull that you can’t tell what’s good until someone does? If it’s that easy, why hasn’t Daniel entered the studio and give us 10/10 track? No shade 😎.”
@gwaniforlife
“Is the song that bad, others are even giving it 2/10.”
@Rosemary3151721
“So what you’re trying to tell me is that, ‘My heart pure like pure water’ is a strong lyrics right?”
