Mr Michael Oti Adjei, a sports journalist and analyst, has disclosed that Ghana’s Coach Otto Addo’s resignition and departure from the black stars is good news since he never showed enough evidence of passion for the job.
To Mr Oti Adjei, the Dotmund talent coach, made it seem like coaching the national teach was a favour he was offering the country. He stated that the Ghana Football Association (GFA) had no reason to appoint Otto Addo as Coach of the Black Stars since he was never going to commit his future to the job.
“I am glad he is leaving. I think that decision should have been made earlier if he wasn’t going to do this on a full-time basis, there was no reason why he was there.”

The journalist further said that “I really hope that in the next appointment the GFA makes, it will prioritize the country over anything else.”
Coach Otto Addo earned his appointment as Black Stars Coach after leading Ghana to qualify for the ongoing FIFA 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
The 47-year-old was appointed head coach of the national team earlier this year, taking charge of 12 matches, boasting a record of four wins, three draws and five defeats.
Reason For Otto’s Resignition
Coach of the senior national team of Ghana, Otto Addo resigned following Ghana’s elimination from the 2022 FIFA World Cup tournament in Qatar.

The Black Stars who were defeated in their last group game against Uruguay by two goals to nil bowed out of the competition recording two defeats and one win in three games.
Otto Addo who led Ghana in their play-off games against Nigeria to qualify for the biggest international football tournament noted following the defeat in what was dubbed a revenge game for the 2010 hand ball incident with Luis Suarez in South Africa, that it was clear that he would stop after the World Cup.
“I always said if we qualified for the World Cup I’d resign afterwards, even if we were world champions. Me and my family see our future in Germany.”

Ghana played Portugal in their first game of the tournament where the Black Stars lost by three goals to two. The team went on to beat South Korea by three goals to two before being eliminated from the competition following their 2-0 defeat against Uruguay.
