Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Defunct UT Bank, Prince Kofi Amoabeng has been observed to be a real time warrior and fighter amidst the turbulence and heresies following the collapse of the famous UT Bank.
Speaking during an exclusive interview with Bernard Avle, Kofi Amoabeng seems to harbor few worries and is continuing and taking life so easy after the collapse of his bank. Even more intriguing is the fact that, he is putting together some really amazing and wonderful works. Mr. Amoabeng noted two things as His drive: his unwavering faith in God and humility.
Responding to why he has not travelled or gone into hiding following the tragedy that beset him, Mr. Amoabeng said when people taste a little bit of success, it gets into their head, pushing their egos up, hence, are not humble. As a result, they run away to avoid the shame and embarassment when things go down.
“For me, the two things that I think have made me who I am and resulted to who I am is because, I have faith in my maker that in everything, He is in control and the second thing is I try to be humble all the time. So when I was most respected CEO and now, there is no change in Kofi Amoabeng.”

About what he thinks about perceptions and reports doing viral about him, he indicated that he is who he is and knows who he is and for that matter unperturbed by what others think about him.
Mr. Amoabeng’s story becomes an inspiration
Other businessmen who happen to find themselves in his situation either throw in the towel or give up on life but Mr. Amoabeng has not only been an inspiration to others through interviews and interactive sessions with him having to share his experience, but has also gone ahead to write books in which he shares those experiences.
Explaining the reasons for the giant steps he takes every day to be a blessing to others, Mr. Amoabeng thinks that everyone is existing to create an impact and part of it, he noted is through what one does as such, believes that there is nothing more lasting than what one offers society, using the case of his bank as an example of things that are temporal.
“I don’t think anything can beat what we try to do.”

Mr. Amoabeng has already two books in his name, following the tragic collapse of his bank and says there’s even another to be expected, which he indicated will be focused on the bank, UT.
The first volume of his books was released in November 2022, with many applauding his approach and humor. There, Mr. Amoabeng shared timeless values he learnt while at the military – Ghana Armed Forces, and how he translated them unto his work as a banker.
This, he says is his way of giving to society, adding that setting up PKA (Prince Kofi Amoabeng) Leadership Foundation is another thing he intends doing and that, he said, will be launched during his birthday, together with the second volume of his book.
“It is all about trying to leave something for the youth, for the upcoming, for those who care to read and listen and leave the right legacy and footprints because, in your final years, it is all about giving and therefore, I think we have to give as much as we can.”
