Multiple reports indicate that American actress and director, Anne Heche, who was involved in a car crash in Los Angeles a few days back, has slipped into a coma.
In a statement from the actor’s representative, the actress is in extremely critical condition and requires assistance to breath.
“At this time, Anne is in extremely critical condition. She has a significant pulmonary injury requiring mechanical ventilation and burns that require surgical intervention. She is in a coma and has not regained consciousness since shortly after the accident.”

Meanwhile, the latest report is in contrast to the earlier one provided by her representatives which suggested that Anne Heche is in stable condition as at yesterday, Agust 8, 2022.
“Anne is in stable condition. The family and friends ask for your thoughts and prayers. We also ask to respect her privacy during this difficult time. Thank you,” the earlier statement further read.
“Anne is in the ICU, she’s lucky to be alive. She has severe burns and has a long recovery ahead. Her team and her family are still trying to process what led up to the crash.”

On Friday, the actress crashed her blue Mini Cooper into Mar Vista, a home in California while driving. The crash ignited fire and both her car and the property got engulfed in the flames. When she was transported to the hospital, she had severe burns on her body, witnesses revealed.
The actress was also reported to have been involved in a separate accident a few minutes before the Walgrove Avenue crash. Before crashing into the house, she reportedly crashed into a garage of an apartment complex in the 1700 block of Walgrove Avenue in West Los Angeles, according to reports.
Heche Set to Promote Her new Project
The accident occurred as Heche was preparing to promote her role in Lifetime’s opioid crime drama ‘Girl in Room 13.’
Heche was expected to appear this week at the network’s Television Critics Association press tour in order to tout the upcoming project.
On the professional front, Anne shot to fame with her role in ‘Another World’ and ‘Donnie Brasco’. The American actress, Anne Heche, also played a pivotal role in the 1998 film ‘Six Days, Seven Nights’ along with several other Hollywood films. Later, she starred in ‘Wag the Dog’, ‘The Brave’, ‘Quantico’ and ‘Chicago P.D’.
Anne has won many awards and received nominations throughout her career. Heche received a Primetime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Miniseries or a Movie for “Gracie’s Choice” in 2004, which won. She received two Daytime Emmy nominations for “Another World,” winning Outstanding Younger Actress in a Drama Series in 1991.
Meanwhile, the Emmy award winner’s family asked everyone to pray for her and keep her in their thoughts.
