Kumawood actor, Samuel Nkrumah, known in the movie industry as Ramses Kay, has explained the reason why he chose to celebrate his birthday at the cemetery.
According to him, he celebrated his birthday at a strange place to show Ghanaians that celebrating a birthday means one is closer to their death than they think. He added that it was a way to let people understand how short life is.
“This birthday was not a plus one but a minus one kind of concept. I wanted to do something out of the norm and remind people that as you grow older, you are getting closer to your grave. On our birthdays, we only think about celebrating and having fun, but do we also think about death?”

Well, it seems the actor is actually a huge fun of unusual things. In the interview, he disclosed how he had proposed to his girlfriend in a manner that was so shocking to the extent that she collapsed.
According to Ramses Kay, during the birthday celebration, he caused fear in his girlfriend who collapsed after he came out of the coffin to propose to her. Touching on why he decided to sleep in a coffin, he confessed that he got frightened at a point in time and even wanted to call off the celebration but there was no going back.
“I didn’t want to talk about this incident but then I want people out there to pray for me and support me. When the birthday was ongoing, I removed a ring to propose to my girlfriend but when I knelt and asked her to be my wife, at once she closed her eyes and put her hand on her heart. I was waiting for her to say ‘yes or no’, but when she placed her hand on her chest, the next I saw was that she had collapsed”.

“When that happened, everything got messy and with the help of some of the guys present, they carried her away into the ambulance that brought me in a coffin and then they rushed her to the hospital. Till now, my girlfriend is still in the hospital and we are looking forward to seeing things go on smoothly”.

Meanwhile, Ramses’ actions came with dire consequences as he revealed that he is currently seeing scary things. He disclosed that ghosts are now after his life. According to him, he has been seeing petrifying things like “supernatural beings” (Ghosts) inside his room and he’s now even afraid for his life.
A few days ago, a video popped up on the internet where a group of people were seen at the cemetery with tables and drinks and a birthday cake at the Cemetery celebrating. Guests who graced the event were captured in all-white attire. Interestingly, there were no seats, so some guests relaxed on the tombs. The bizarre moment caused a huge stir on social media with some supporting the move and others condemning it.
