Iranian Foreign Minister, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian has warned that U.S will experience repercussions if the ongoing Israel-Hamas war spread to other parts of the region.
He averred, “I say frankly to the American statesmen, who are now managing the genocide in Palestine, that we do not welcome [an] expansion of the war in the region.”
“But if the genocide in Gaza continues, they will not be spared from this fire.” he added.
Speaking in a UN General Assembly emergency session, Amir-Abdollahian accused the U.S of siding with the “occupying regime of Israel.”
“They call the Palestinian self-liberation movement [Hamas], which has a right to self-defence, terrorists, but they refer to the occupying and war criminal regime [Israel] that is committing genocide in Gaza as having the right to self-defence.
“The US and several European countries are watching and supporting the killing of about 7,000 civilians in less than three weeks by the Israeli regime. They help this regime militarily and financially.”

“We recommend that the US works for peace and security, not war against women and children … and to stop sending rockets, tanks and bombs to be used against the people of Gaza. The U.S should stop supporting genocide in Gaza and Palestine.”
The Iranian diplomat also said the displacement of the Gazans must be stopped immediately and Gaza is currently waiting for urgent and vital humanitarian aid.
Amir-Abdollahian divulged that Hamas has told Iran [one of its international backers] that it was ready to release civilian hostages, adding that the world should push for the release of 6,000 Palestinians in Israeli prisons.
“The Islamic Republic of Iran stands ready to play its part in this very important humanitarian endeavor, along with Qatar and Turkey. Naturally, the release of the 6,000 Palestinian prisoners is another necessity and responsibility of the global community.”

Gaza Health Ministry Issues List Of Names Of People Killed
The Gaza health ministry has issued a 212-page document with lists of names and identification numbers for 7,028 Palestinians that have been killed by Israel’s bombardments since October 7, 2023.
The ministry said that it decided to release the names of Palestinians who have been killed in Israeli air strikes so “the entire world knows the truth about the genocidal war that the occupation is committing against our people.”
“The world must realise that behind every number is a story of a person whose name and identity are known,” it added.
The decision comes after U.S President Joe Biden said on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 that he had “no confidence” in the Palestinian death toll reported by the ministry.
“I have no notion that the Palestinians are telling the truth about how many people are killed. I’m sure innocents have been killed, and it’s the price of waging a war but I have no confidence in the number that the Palestinians are using,” Biden said.
