Viral pictures of a man who had plans of proposing to his girlfriend in church in front of a congregation has been circulating on social media as the man has been disappointed after the lady rejected to marry him.
In the picture sighted, the couple were seen in matching outfit. According to reports, the man had informed the pastor about his intention to propose to his girlfriend in church and gave him permission. However, it appears the proposal backfired. In one of the pictures sighted, the man was seen on one knee in attempt to give the lady the ring. In another, the man was seen almost in tears and in absolute shock, suggesting that his proposal has been rejected by the lady.
Social media users reacted to the drama and questioned why the couple wore the same outfit if the lady didn’t love the man.
One social media user under the name @Lois, commenting on the issue said: “But how do you people get to the point of wearing not just any matching outfit, but matching Ankara and you don’t want to marry each other”.
Another social media user, @chigozi noted that the girl should have at least respected the man for whatever they have shared and accepted the ring. He further suggested that the lady could have waited after service, then in privacy returned his ring.
@Alubarika questioned how the man had the courage to publicly propose to the lady without having one hundred percent assurance that she will say yes.
@radioactive, joked about how the couple put so much thought into their matching outfit as he said: “You all bought the material together, shared it 3yards each. Went to the tailors, decided to wear it to church”
