Afia Schwarzenegger has offered to support Veteran gospel musician, Edward Akwasi Boateng to get back on his feet after going broke.

The popular gospel musician was spotted on Tuesday, February 20, selling pen drives containing his songs at Asafo in Kumasi to generate funds to settle his ward’s school fees.

The viral video caused shock to some Ghanaians who wondered why a veteran musician with reputable recognition would end up in such a situation.

Akwasi Boateng divorced his wife five years ago. According to him, his current situation also stems from the fact that he did not get a “helper” as a wife.

“I did not get a helper so I spend more than I earn. At a point, I was not being fed in my own house but a teacher who has come to teach my children is rather fed. I have built my own house to accommodate us all but when food has been prepared, I’m not being fed because they say I did not provide money,” he further added.

Well, after several people came to his aid, Afia Schwarzenegger also offered her support. In a recent post on her Instagram page, Afia pledged to donate her February Tithe to him to help him get back on his feet.

“I want to give this man my tithe for Feb, which is also my Thanksgiving month. Please, if you know him, please help me tell him to contact my manager @ben_duker. When a righteous falls 10 times, God will use his soldiers to raise him for the 11th, and this is the testimony of the righteous… Amen.”

Diana Asamoah Advises Edward Akwasi Nyarko

Last Sunday, Ghanaian veteran Gospel musician Edward Akwasi Boateng got smiles on his face after he was blessed with a brand new car, scholarships for his kids, and monthly allowances to ease his burden.

All these were made possible by the Head Pastor of Spirit Life Revival Ministry identified as Prophet Bernard El Bernard.

The kind deed was performed in response to a widely shared video on the internet that showed Edward Akwasi Boateng hawking CDs and pen drives at a Kumasi bus stop.

The gospel performer, who was having financial difficulties, fervently begged people to buy his music to support him.

The presentation took place at the Spiritual Revival Ministry in Accra, where Edward Akwasi Boateng was welcomed by Prophet Bernard El Bernard and his congregation.

Profoundly moved and rendered speechless, the legendary gospel artist conveyed his sincere gratitude for the unexpected gift that had been bestowed upon him during these trying times.

Reacting to this kind gesture from Prophet Bernand El Bernard, Evangelist Diana Asamoah advised her colleague gospel star to make better use of this gift from the man of God.

Diana Asamoah advised Edward Akwasi Boateng to use the car for a ride-hailing service so that he wouldn’t come and beg for help again.

“This marks the second occasion Edward Akwasi Boakye has publicly appealed for help, and this time, he is fortunate to have received a car. My advice to him is to utilize the vehicle for Uber, to enable him to earn an income. This way, he can avoid finding himself in a position where he has to publicly appeal for assistance for a third time,” Diana Asamoah said.

Also, the Evangelist confirmed that she knew Edward Akwasi Boateng before stardom and she can attest to the fact that he truly loves God.

Although her statements didn’t sit well with Edward Akwasi Boateng, he [Edward] referenced a Bible verse that said, “It’s better to keep quiet and hide one’s foolishness than to speak nonsense.”
