Media personality, Nana Aba Anamoah has shared her opinion on why she thinks it will be difficult for the leader of The New Force political movement, Nana Kwame Bediako, popularly known as Cheddar, to become President of the nation.
According to her, even though Ghanaians are yearning for a new force to rule the country, she is not optimistic about Ghanaians doing away with the two dominant political parties in the country, such as the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to vote for him.
She indicated that Cheddar is someone who has Ghanaians at heart and will want to do everything within his power to make the nation better, however, the tasks appear to be a dicey one.
“We definitely need a new force. I have engaged Freedom Jacob Caesar [Cheddar] a couple of times. He is a great guy, and I love him. He means well and wants to see people do better in their lives. But I am not sure Ghanaians will give the new force an opportunity, even though we are screaming for one,” Nana Aba Anamoah stated.
“I am not sure if people are ready to leave the NDC and NPP for him. I like the way he has entered the political space; even if he does not make any gains, at least he has made a statement,” she said.

In other news, Cheddar expressed his interest in acquiring one of the two major English football clubs.
The Ghanaian businessman, who is aspiring to run as an independent candidate in Ghana’s 2024 election, stated his desire to purchase either Chelsea FC or Manchester United to demonstrate that Africans.
“As I sit here I hope to raise money to buy Chelsea at the blind side of the public or buy Manchester United and show the white man that the Black man is also powerful. I would like to invest and have an African Champions League just like what pertains to Europe. Let’s build strong leagues in Africa so that we can sell our players outright to Europe instead of smuggling players through dubious means for peanuts,” he stressed.
Nana Kwame Bediako emphasized the importance of Ghana leveraging its former football stars, particularly in negotiating favorable deals for players’ transfers abroad.
The leader of The New Force expressed his belief that Ghana has not effectively utilized its football legends in this aspect, which he finds puzzling.
“A few days ago I went to the late Papa Arko’s home, he’s one of my legends along with the likes of Opoku Nti who were the big stars in football when I was a young boy. We failed to ensure that these quality footballers gained legendary status because today these players I mentioned should have been big-time football agents and well-connected around the world. We are not serious as a country, that is why many of them end up broke after their playing time,” he said.
Reactions Toward Cheddar’s Over Sea Promise

Some celebrities in Ghana reacted to the proposal by the New Force Movement leader, Nana Kwame Bediako, to dredge a sea in the Ashanti Regional capital, Kumasi.
Cheddar, revealed that the ‘sea to Kumasi’ vision forms part of his ambition to open up Ghana’s Eastern and Western corridors to facilitate trade.
“I have traveled far and wide. I have seen many countries do that. Even Dubai which was a typical desert now has the sea. That is the kind of vision I have for the Ashanti Region. When we dredge the sea to the region, ships can dock in Kumasi,” he stated.
According to Blakk Rasta, Cheddar’s claim to extend the sea to Kumasi is an indication that he is not an honest person whose promises can be trusted by Ghanaians heading into the general elections.
“I heard Cheddar say he would dredge a sea in Kumasi. This guy is a political fraudster. He is a fraud; people should not pay attention to him. This also means that he has taken over from Dr. Bawumia as the ‘King of lies’ in this country. He is making a comparison with Dubai; has he seen a sea on a dessert before?” he quizzed.
Controversial Ghanaian socialite, Afia Schwarzenegger argued that there are more pressing problems in the country that need to be addressed, such as the lack of beds in various hospitals and not the dragging of the sea in a jurisdiction where it seems difficult to make it happen.
The socialite noted that it would be a waste of money for any government to invest in dredging sea in any part of the country, looking at the host of challenges the nation is grappling with.
Also, Songstress Efya Nokturnal posed a question on her official X account, seeking answers to whether Cheddar had been presented with a specific request by the people before he made his proposal public
